About the Film

Our graduation film entitled 'Girly Pop' is our final film for our BA Filmmaking degree at Kingston University.

The film follows two besties who are so not feeling the vibe of their boss' lame café, so they bedazzle the hell out of the shop but it like totally ends in bloodshed.

Why Girly Pop?

 

Written and directed by Thimashi and Sadhbh, two women who want to make a difference in the industry. We strive to create a film that celebrates femininity and represents all the girlies who slay even when things go wrong. The importance of authentic representation of women has always been a priority for us. Particularly, representing the South Asian Diaspora through one of the protagonists Rana, gives us the chance to celebrate South Asian women and culture, something that has always been lacking in the film industry!
